Logo design is best when thinking is first applied.

Most of the latest logo design trends lean on computer technology rather than thinking power. There are so many logo designers now. Per capita we have more logo designers than ever before in the history of the U.S.A. You can get 30 designers doing 20 different designs in three days for only $29.99. or some outrageous scenario. But what kind of logo design do you get? You get a lot of computer trained designers that use technology gimmicks rather than the power of thought. Yes I can easily make a bee hive out of geometric flowers that are blowing in the wind, but will anyone be able to see in on a website, website banner ad or smart phone for that matter. Computer technology makes an abundant array of techniques possible now but it doesn’t make them smart logo designs.

The Tanya’s Soup Kitchen logo design is the image of Tanya Tandoc and a bowl of soup in the same image. The Tanya’s Soup Kitchen logo design is a visual metaphor to show Tanya is the equal of a true artist. Tanya puts herself into her creations, her art, her soup.
In the logo design Tanya’s face is the bowl, her mouth is the spoon, her eyes are splashes/droplets and her hair is the steam. All the graphic design shapes and lines of this logo where drawn and redrawn, then scanned into digital form and re-drawn digitally. All the graphic design edges and curves were smoothed and softened to invite the viewer and remind the consumer of how beautifully delicious Tanya’s soups really are.
Tanya and the Tanya’s Soup Kitchen logo design and graphic design brand identity have become interchangeable, recognized as one-in-the-same. Her website design and Facebook persona allows Tanya to share her unique attitudes with her many fans and friends. All the graphic design in Tanya’s brand identity reflects and has become the symbol for Tanya’s amazing personality. Tanya has become more than a proprietor of a sheik restaurant, she has become a food goddess and a beacon for sub-culture lifestyles and attitudes. The early lines anticipating a bowl of Tanya’s amazing soup often extend from one side of the restaurant to the other and even out of the door. Blend & Grind logo design

Blend & Grind is a smoothie, coffee, and juice bar located in the downtown area of Raleigh, NC. The store front is located in a high end “shopping center” with an upscale industrial feel (wood and metal). Blend & Grind appeals to the young modern customers that go to the local colleges as well as the older wealthier customers that live in the area. This logo is a circle divided into four parts: steam from coffee, juice squirting and two gears one represents a coffee cup and the other an orange. Weigand Logo Design by Insight Design Communications, a Kansas Logo Design Company.

For over a century, J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc. has been instrumental in the growth and development of residential, commercial and industrial real estate in the city of Wichita, its surrounding areas and the state of Kansas. With over a hundred years of equity in the name and a logo that has been seen in Wichita, near Wichita, around Wichita, and all over the Wichita area for 30 years, we concluded that any drastic change would be counter productive for the brand. But, their logo, designed in the 80′s, needed some work.

Before, the J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc. logo used a clunky type for the word ‘Weigand’ which had little negative space around and inside of the letter forms. For example the “A” became a solid blob, and the letters bled together which made it difficult to read at a distance. We opened up the letter forms in the word ‘Weigand’ making it much easier to see and read. Also, the basic oval shape was divided by a white block that made it impossible to use with a background color. Weigand was constricked to a white background with the their logo which made their signs disappear in the marketplace. To correct this we enclosed the oval shape so the brand logo could be used with background colors. This was a simple, but important fix because it allowed for designs that use color more dramatically to differentiate Weigand realtor signs from a marketplace filled with predominately white signs.

We also made adjustments to the color and added a piece of history to the brand identity. We changed the bright blue to a deeper more substantial blue befitting the regions real estate leader for over 100 years. We added the historical signature of founder J.P. Weigand, created form vintage letter forms, to elevate the illustrious history of the J.P. Weigand & Sons brand.

All in all, the Weigand brand is now positioned more appropriately in the marketplace. It has a sense of history and emphasizes a reputation of excellence, and quality, which is a perfect fit with their brand promise.

The Logo Design Concept.

GooGoo Wonderland is more than a selection of products and services that bring happiness and good will to Malaysian consumers. GooGoo Wonderland is a place in the mind, a place of surprise, wonder and magic that lives within all of us.

The logo design depicts a multi-ethnic palace where the only limitation is your imagination.

The GOOGOO logo type is constructed using circles while the color plays with the rhythm of the G and O letter forms alternate colors instead of making all the O’s and both G’s the same color. We wanted consumers to take a second look at the name.

Description of the Business.

GooGoo Wonderland is a concept store of Balloon Connexion Pte Ltd. in Singapore. GooGoo Wonderland will be located in the up scale suburb of Kuala Lumpur. GooGoo will provide outstanding balloon decoration and delivery service as their primary product in addition will carry specialty bulk and wrap candies, trendy party supplies and soft toys. They will provide a wide range of premium balloons from the USA and Japan – Balloon Pets, Million Stars, etc. Also, trendy party favors and accessories will be offered. GooGoo Wonderland will provide Children birthday party packages with theme characters like Pooh, Mickey, Spiderman, etc. decorations, party supplies and goody bags. They will also provide theme home parties, company event decoration like under the sea, jungle and tropical. Therefore, the logo is colorful and imaginative.

GooGoo Wonderland will also offer delivery service, on site decoration for home and corporate parties. They will take photos of their deliveries and email to the sender because they realize that nothing is more fun for our customers than to receive a photo of their friend receiving a beautiful balloon bouquet from GooGoo Wonderland delivered on their behalf. Balloons will no longer be a toy for children only, it is an art form that delivers a message of happiness, joy, love and friendship. The brand identity logo reflects this in it’s concept and execution.

There are two primary groups of customers.The main target audience will be the residence and businesses of Mont Kiara & Sri Hartmas. The retail customers can shop by phone, web or walk in.

The second group of customers are current balloon industry players. Since GooGoo Wonderland is a branch of Balloon Connexion in Singapore, it will be an “emergency” supplier to existing Balloon Connexion’s Malaysia customers. GooGoo will cater to new wholesale customers, florists, party & event organizers, balloon decorators and twisters.
